My journey began decades ago with a passion for creative expression -
writing music, sketching abstract ideas,
...and crafting ultra-modern stained glass designs known for their bold style and precision.
That same artistic drive now fuels my work as a UX architect, where I challenge convention to design digital experiences that are both intuitive and visually striking.
Late 1990s - Early 2000s:
The Foundation - Bridging Analog & Digital Design
From intricate stained-glass craftsmanship to architectural projects, my early years were shaped by hands-on design.
Founding Glasstrology expanded my creative reach, but increasing demand led me to embrace digital tools. College courses in digital design (Ivy Tech, IUPUI) introduced me to early web development, transitioning from table-based layouts to CSS-based designs.
Blending artistry with technology, I leverage deep expertise in color theory, typography, layout, and visual hierarchy to push creative boundaries while maintaining harmony.
My background in glass artistry sharpened my eye for aesthetics and strengthened my problem-solving skills — qualities that are just as valuable in digital design and development.
2004 - 2009:
Game Design & Technical Training
Immersing myself in game design at ITT Tech, I sharpened both creative and technical skills.
As a Level Designer at Gabriel Interactive, I crafted immersive game environments, setting the stage for UX-focused design.
My role as a Technology Trainer at MTG refined my ability to simplify complex tech concepts—an invaluable asset in later UX work.
2009 - 2012:
Merging Game & Web Development - The CMS & PHP Era
Co-founding Kiwisoft LLC blended game mechanics with application development, while McCormackDesigns.net became my digital innovation hub.
At List Industries Inc., I led the digital overhaul of their web presence and internal workflows, implementing CMS platforms like Drupal and WordPress across dozens of projects to streamline operations and modernize their online experience.
This era was marked by early SEO optimization, AJAX interactivity, RESTful API development, and the shift toward responsive, mobile-first design.
Since founding McCormackDesigns, I've built hundreds of digital products, each project refining my expertise and expanding my skill set. In an ever-evolving industry, every challenge is an opportunity to learn, adapt, and redefine the digital experience.
2012 - Present:
UX Architecture & Full-Stack Mastery
Going fully independent, I expanded McCormackDesigns.net into a UX-first, full-stack development firm.
I have built intuitive platforms across diverse industries:
